target party.

We were invited by our cute friends Megan and Chris to attend the opening party of San Francisco's new Target!  Ummm hello, have you seen Monday's post?  I'm pretty much obsessed with Target and always cry about the fact that we don't have one here in the city.  Well I can throw out my kleenex cause now we have one! The opening party was so much fun.  They had little food and drink stations setup throughout the store featuring some of San Francisco's local hot spots (like smitten ice cream, tacolicious, rye bar, and more).  Too bad those stations aren't permanent fixtures of the store.  They also had this little guy wandering around...amazing!  Wait, and don't you think I NEED that faux leather striped pillow?!?  It's part of the Nate Berkus for Target line and I think I may have found the perfect spot for it in our living room.

the booties.

I kind of couldn't stop talking about these booties on instagram this weekend and here I am again still yapping about them.  Ha!  But I can't help it, they seriously have become my new fave.  I wore them with this free people dress to lunch with family.  Then changed into a sequins dress and sweater for a movie night with G.  And lastly wore them with this Mara Hoffman amazingness and jeans for a brewery tour.  Thank you Target for making a pair of fall booties that I can't get enough of!

it's friday, hooray.

Yipppeeee, it's Friday.  G & I are excited to spend some time with family this weekend.  SO very much needed right now.  We are also going to hang out with some friends at this event.  YAY, can't wait to soak in some fall inspiration.

pale nails.

I'm normally pretty routine when it comes to manicures.  Firstly, my nails must be super super super short.  I don't know why, but for me the shorter = the better.  I also usually just do them at home (I've kind of got it down to a science now).  And of course I totally have my favorite colors.  I usually go with pinks (essie "pansy" or sinful colors "pink forever") and lavender (opi "lucky lucky lavender" is my all-time go to).  I know there are all sorts of crazy cool manicure choices out there these days and I really do love them, but for day-to-day, I tend to lean towards more simple nails.  I decided to try out a more neutral nail this past week and kind of fell in love with revlon "powder puff" matte suede all over again.  I hadn't worn it in years, but as soon as I put it on I was hooked.  Now, I'm not going to lie, this color is not so easy to do on yourself.  It is so pale that I had to do like 3 to 4 layers (I usually just do 2 layers and no top coat).  The finish really is super matte, so the second time I applied the polish I added a top coat to give it a little more shine.  I'm kind of loving this new look.

pumpkins.

October is here, hooray!  I love love love fall and winter time.  Like, I really can't get enough.  The change in seasons means the holidays are upon us, yipppeeeee!  The holidays mean spending time with family and really does it get any better then that?  No it doesn't.  Our neighbors have already begun placing their pumpkins outside of their doors and I'm ready to start painting.  Are you kidding me with the below beauties?  I'm totally obsesssed.

yountville.

Wow, what a weekend.  G and I went up to Yountville on Saturday for a little day trip.  I love love love living so close to wine country.  The fact that we can drive up for the day, eat an amazing lunch, then head back in time for dinner in the city, is a dream.  We ate the most delicious meal at Bouchon, walked around the quaint little town, then relaxed for a bit at Bardessono.  Ummm, can we talk about this place?  It was SO pretty!  We were trying to figure out a way to sneak up to their pool for a bit, but home was calling, so we headed back and chatted about how we'd definitely make a return visit.

swim sale.

I know, I know, what am I doing posting a photo of a bathing suit when it's the end of September.  Ummm people, it's Mara Hoffman (!) and it's on sale (!), score!  I already own one Mara beauty, so I won't be scooping this one up, but I think you should.  And hey, depending on where you live or where you take your next vacation, you totally might have a chance to wear it before next summer.

sofa dreams.

G and I aren't on the hunt for a new sofa quite yet (we simply adore the one his parent's gave to us years ago and really don't want to ever let it go).  When we DO decide to get a new one, tufted is what my dreams are made of.  Well a white chesterfield is REALLY what my dreams are made of, but I'm willing to compromise a bit as long as tufting is a part of the equation.
