seeing double.

I have a confession to make, I have purchased two of the very same item of clothing.  Ekkkkk!  It's a very rare occurrence, but I have found a few dresses that I fell in love with and decided I needed the exact same one in a different color.  I already own this lovely in blush, but I'm kind of thinking I might need to invest in tea or mint too.  And I know that they call this a "slip dress", but it's definitely more of a tunic on me.  I love love love it!

the office.

I'm helping my husband redesign his office.  It's been a bit of a challenge for me, as I haven't ever really styled or designed a room that is full on masculine.  ha!  We've been workng well together on picking out pieces that are masculine, timeless, traditional, and modern.  My husband and I tend to gravitate towards anything that is ultra modern, but we've also been careful to not go too minimalist in his office.  We are also only buying pieces that we would one day also use in our home.  I don't believe in buying pieces that can't easily be transitioned into another space.  I feel like each piece we are purchasing is an investment.  Not all of the items are super pricey, but they will definitely be sticking around for awhile, so I want them to work in his office or at our home if I feel like changing things up a bit.  So here is the inspiration board we came up with.  We're keeping the palette mostly black and white, adding in wood, leather and metal elements to create some texture.  I'm really excited about this project and can't wait to see if all come together.

constant rotation.

Do you have a few key pieces in your closet that you seem to gravitate towards every day?  I certainly do.  I haven't been able to put this clutch down since snatching it up.  And I've paired this faux leather top with skirts, pants, and shorts.  I'm seldom drawn to black in my wardrobe, but this piece is changing my mind.

details.

It's all in the details and these two dresses are no exception.  The pretty black lace and the delicate beading on these two beauties are helping me get through this manic Monday.

modern budget. five.

I'm really not a little black dress kind of girl, but I definitely AM a little white dress kind of gal.  I have, ummmm too many to count, little white and cream dresses hanging in my closet and I love them all.  I definitely think this little lace number should be added to my collection.

fringe.

Off and on throughout my life, I've had bangs.  First as a child and then two different times as an adult.  Every so often I get tempted to take the plunge into fringe life again.  I love them so, but I inevitably start wanting to grow them out after only a month.  ha!  I have a hair appointment coming up in the next few weeks, so I better make my decision quickly.  To fringe or not?

wallpaper love.

I pinned this top image a few days ago and ever since have not been able to get it out of my head.  That wallpaper is just amazing.  Then I fell into an internet hole of black and white wallpaper, and I can't get enough.  SO excited for the day that we can wallpaper our walls.

spring is coming.

Spring time is coming and with it comes dreams of warmer weather, road trips, and time to slow down a bit.  Every spring I always pick up a pair of new sandals to carry me through the summer months.  These are definitely a contender.  I'm also making it a priority to create some floral crowns.  I created one for a photo shoot years ago, and I'm ready to try my hand at it again.  They are oh so pretty.

gold glasses. found.

Remember when I was on the hunt for gold rimmed glasses?  You may have noticed that I'm quite the bargain hunter around here and I wasn't really ready to fork over a bunch of money on said glasses.  Well, I got lucky and stumbled across some beauties that were the exact look I was going for at......wait for it.....the dollar store.  YEP, you heard that right!  So, I just had to share the secret.  Now go and get yourself some of these pretties.
