sweet dreams.

Well, I survived yoga on Friday, and guess what?  I'm going back again today for more.  I actually really enjoyed it.  Uhhh, I must mention that it was SO much harder then I remembered, but in a good way.  The teacher was amazing, which really helped me and I never felt pressured to go beyond what my body was allowing me to.  I'll keep you posted on my future yoga adventures.  My husband and I also spent the weekend reorganizing our bedroom.  It was needed in a big way, and we purged so many things.  Doesn't that feel great?  So now I'm back to fantasizing about a few updates our room may need.  All of these rooms are so different, but I love them all for different reasons.  The moroccan wedding blanket, that colorful rug, those striped pillows, and that lucite side table...are all amazing.

yoga.

Happy Friday!  Well I'm off to yoga this morning and I'm a bit nervous.  I did yoga a long long long time ago (college days), but have only tried it once since then.  Everyone I know who practices, seriously can't say enough great things about it, so I'm joining a friend today to give it a try again.  Ekkkk, wish me luck.

avo avo avo.

I've been on an avocado binge the past month.  I just can't seem to get enough.  And then I spotted these two simple recipes using them (here and here) and well I guess you can say that the obsession will continue.

romping around.

I mean, does it really get any cuter then a romper?  Nope!  I think they are the perfect summer staple.  Throw one on over your suit at a pool party, or dress one up with heels for a dinner out.  I really can't get enough.

like a record.

I bought G a record player as an early birthday gift (he's been talking about one for over a year).  Who knew that I would love it just as much as he does.  He picked up a few records for me last week that I told him reminded me of my childhoood, Fleetwood Mac + Huey Lewis and the News.  I remember listening to Fleetwood Mac for hours on end in with my siblings.  So fun to have a record take me back to that time.

a new week.

I just returned from a family reunion where I spent the entire weekend snuggling my nephews, niece, and my cousin's kids.  Long chats with my mom, siblings, cousins, aunts, uncles, and my grandma were just what my heart needed.  It was so much fun and I really wasn't ready for it to end.  But Monday is here and while I day dream about my relaxing weekend with family, I'm also excited for the week ahead.  Time to tackle some home projects (I'm looking at you closet...eeeekkk!) and I'm making time to celebrate these summer days (which means I'm going to have to take a trip over a bridge to find some sunshine).  Happy Monday.

pressed cleanse.

I finished up day 3 of my cleanse last night and I'm feeling great.  Seriously, I did NOT feel hungry once.  I'm not sure if I mentioned it last time I did a cleanse, but it's actually hard for me to even finish all of the juice.  There really is that much of it (I was literally starting a new juice every two hours).  This round I did a Pressed Juicery cleanse and it was great.  I went to pick mine up locally so I got to modify the juices a bit to what I wanted.  The ones I picked were: greens 6, citrus 3, roots 3, citrus 4, greens 5, and vanilla almond.  I'm not sure if the vanilla almond even counts cause it pretty much tastes like dessert.  My cleansing days are far from over.  Next time I might even try it for 5-days (eeeekkk, but please don't hold me to that).

small room walls.

I stopped by my friend's studio yesterday and she showed me some of the amazing wallpaper selections she was choosing between for the powder room.  It got my thinking about how fun it would be to use wallpaper in a small space.  I love the floral patterns of these and think they would look amazing in our future powder room, or closet, or any space that could benefit from a punch of flower power.

poufs.

Let me start by saying this, not one more piece of furniture can fit into our 650 square foot apartment.  But that certainly doesn't stop me from browsing home stores every chance I get.  I recently spotted that moroccan wedding style pouf at Calypso and fell in love.  Then stumbled across this new one at West Elm.  Uhhhhh please tell me how I am supposed to resist both of these?

flying florals.

I'm more then a bit obsessed with florals hanging overhead.  How amazing would it look to create something like this for a party?!?  Just adds the right amount of drama and pretty.

p.s. I started the Pressed Juicery 3-day cleanse today and am already loving it.  More details after I finish.
