wine tasting.

I'm finally getting around to sharing some pics from the wine tasting tour that I mentioned here.  We had such a wonderful time and I can't say enough great things about the last stop at Ram's Gate.  None of us had ever been to the property before, and I must say it was amazing.  As you walk in, it's a giant indoor-outdoor wine tasting area.  Hard to even describe in words, but just think open space, old barn wood, and modern touches throughout.  My jaw was pretty much on the floor the entire time.  Our friend had also arranged for a picnic before we arrived.  So once we got there, each couple was handed a picnic basket complete with a blanket, tons of yummy food, and a bottle of wine.  Yep, we will definitely be coming back here soon.

words for thursday.

I don't know about you guys, but sometimes simple words can have a huge impact on my mood.  Here are some things that brightened up my day, and I hope they do the same for you.

polished + comfortable.

Yep, these little outfits are exactly the Fall uniform I'm looking for.  A little faux leather skirt and a comfy (ie. slouchy) top are exactly what I will be sporting.  And of course I'll be throwing on some flats for the day (I seriously can't take the bus in heels) and rocking heels at night.  Helllooooo fall wardrobe.

right hand ring.

Every so often I come across pretty delicate rings that are too gorgeous to not share.  All four of these beauties definitely made the cut.  I wouldn't mind stacking a few of these on my right hand....yes please.

monday, already.

Wow, what a weekend.  We had so much fun and I seriously didn't want it to end.  We spent Saturday wine tasting in Sonoma with friends (we honestly should really do that more often).  Then Sunday we headed to The Mission to grab lunch with friends, hang at the park, then ate an amazing dinner at G's parents house.  I know I must get ready for the week, and I think I might say this every single Monday, but I really wish we had just one more day.  Ummm don't you think that three day weekends should be the norm???  Here's a little sneak peek of our wine tasting at Ram's Gate.  More pics to come later this week.

festival fashion.

I find so much fashion inspiration just walking around and checking out other girl's "street style".  One of my ultimate fave spots to find stylish outfits is at festivals.  I swear, everyone kicks it up a notch as they go and watch their favorite bands on a sunny summer afternoon.  Here are some looks that I'm loving at the moment.

pillow head.

We had an amazing weekend, but like most weekends, I'm always wishing for one more day.  One more day to explore new places, eat at new restaurants, wander around new spaces, take more time to relax...but it is Monday folks.  Time to get the week started.  Ummm, but as I start the new week, I may or may not be picturing myself with my head asleep on one of these pretty pillows.

happy birthday G.

Tomorrow is G's birthday! He never wants to make a big deal about his birthday, but he also knows that the girl he married likes to make a celebration out of the littlest moment. So, last night when he called to say he was leaving work and would be home in 20 minutes, I thought, why not have a little early birthday celebration for him?!?  Well, good thing I always have plenty of crafting supplies on hand.  So I threw up some streamers, sprinkled confetti and sequins around, and put some cookies in a glass jar.  Done and done!

To my G, I know this is going to be the best year yet.  I love you beyond measure.  You are the most loving, kind, and sweet man.  I love celebrating every day with you.  Love you, love your show!
