cheers.

It's finally the weekend.  Woo Hoo!  This week seemed to crawl by at a snail's pace.  Perhaps it's because we have a fun filled two days ahead of us.  We are celebrating a friend's birthday by playing bocce ball (what a fun birthday party idea), I'm attending a bridal shower for a dear college friend, and we have some family time planned so I can squeeze my niece and nephew.  YAY, cheers to a wonderful weekend!

it's summer.

Today it is freezing out.  Like grab a jacket before you head out the door kind of coldness.  Here in the city we were a little spoiled the last few days with sunny warm weather, but apparently our "true summer" has hit.  But I refuse to pull out my jeans and am instead throwing on a maxi skirt, a thin sweater and throwing on a lightweight jacket.  Layers, layers, layers.

studs & fringe.

You know when you leave a store slightly regretting that you didn't buy something?  Well, that's the case of these two lovely little pieces from Zara.  I tried them on a week ago and have been dreaming about them ever since.  That jacket with the studded collar...yes please!  Oh and I'm certainly a sucker for anything fringe.  That skirt could so easily be dressed up or down.  Eeeeekkkk, I may have to make a return trip.

sunrise.

Are you an early riser?  My husband and I wake up at 6am on weekdays and I've grown to love it.  I cherish those early morning hours when I begin to hear the outside world slowly start to awake.  It's so very peaceful.  When I saw this wedding on Green Wedding Shoes, it stole my heart.  A sunrise ceremony beginning at 6am?  Pure magic!

And that feather bolero is seriously calling my name!

colors & patterns.

Happy-Happy Friday!  Hoping to squeeze in a bit of shopping this weekend.  I'm currently craving a flowly printed dress and a pair of bright pants.  Most days I wear a lot of solid colors, especially my all-time favorite color, white.  I'm trying to branch out a bit and incorporate more & more patterns into my wardobe.  Enjoy your weekend and here's to trying out new things.  xoxo!

the walls.

I've long been a fan of wallpaper.  Since we live in a rental, I've had to put my wallpaper dreams on hold for the moment (although I did read about this amazing removeable type on Oh Happy Day).  While I ponder on using the removeable option, here are a few faves that are the real deal.

glitter guide.

Eeeeekkkkk, I'm so very excited to be able to share the shoot I styled for Glitter Guide.  It was such a blast and I can't thank Taylor enough for asking me to be part of this fun "5 Summer Looks" shoot.  Check out more here.

A super big shout out to all of the people involved.

dreaming.

Obviously from the past two posts (here and here), it is apparent that I'm day dreaming about taking a little vacation poolside.  I'm itching to get back to Palm Springs!  I'd love to be there lounging out in this cute suit, this hat, with a little drink and my hubby by my side.

sunnies.

Wow, what an amazing weekend.  I had such a blast styling a photo shoot with Taylor for an upcoming Glitter Guide feature.  It was truly so much fun and I can't wait to share the pics.  While at the shoot, we all had some fun trying on each other's sunglasses.  We passed around my Karen Walkers (which I am completely obsessed with) & Taylor's House of Harlow cuties.  Eeeekkkk, I might just need to add those black enlarged cateye sunnies to my collection.
