bright side.

Every since I pinned this, I can't get it outta my head.  I'm not sure if this two-toned lip would appear completely wacky in real life, but I might have to just give it a spin.  I mean, I love bright colored lips in general, so this look is totally calling out to me.  Well, here's to trying something new.  Hope you all have a fun filled weekend!

snack time.

I've been on the hunt for simple and easy recipes to try out.  Ummm and when I say easy, I mean like 3 steps with very little ingredients...ha!  G & I have become brussel sprout maniacs and are always ordering them up at restaurants.  I found this little gem of a recipe on a beautiful mess and now I'm itching to try it.  I mean, come on, brussel sprout chips sound like they will be pretty much amazing!

holiday dress code.

I know, I know, it's not even Halloween yet, and I'm already talking about what to wear to your holiday parties.  But the honest truth is that the holidays are fast approaching and it's never to early to shop for that perfect cocktail dress!  I for one am in no need of a sequins dress (Did I really just write that?  I mean, sequins are always in need...right?).   Well if you don't have a sequins den nearby to raid, then I suggest you run out and scoop up this number.  The sequins plus ruffles plus raw hemming plus cutout back are kind of making my heart race.  Love it!

happy birthday little sis.

Yesterday was my little sister's birthday, so I had to give her a little shout out on the blog this morning.  Happy happy happy birthday Tessie!  You are so sweet and have the kindest heart.  I love your free-spirit ways and the fact that you have traveled all over the world.  You are the most caring little sister and for that I can't thank you enough.  Love ya!

And of course I had to include some pics of you as a kid.  Ummmmm look at that smile?!?  SO cute!  xoxo!

home inspiration.

I stumbled upon Stone Fox Bride's website yesterday and I'm so happy that I did!  I am completely and utterly obsessed with their showroom.  I want to move right in there, don't you?  I mean, come on...it is so so so pretty.  Oh and did I mention that they have that rug that I'm determined to make mine.   I am loving every little inch of this space.

nyc.

I've been day dreaming about a trip to New York.  I've been there a handful of times and have always had the most amazing time.  The sights, the sounds...everything about that city is magical.  Eeeeeekkk and going there during the holiday time is so special.  I love seeing everything decorated.  Oh gosh, and can we talk about the food?  I honestly have never had a bad meal there.  Oh man, New York, I miss you.

natural beauty.

This ring, ummmmmm yes yes yes.  I know I've already discussed my obsession with jewelry made of natural stones, but I spotted this little ring and just had to share it's beauty with all of you.  So cool, right?

seeing spots.

I'm attempting to add a little more pattern into my wardrobe and I think these spotted numbers would do the trick.  I'm already obsessed with my J.Crew dress that I scored at a huge discount on eBay, and definitely wouldn't mind adding a few more spotted pieces into my wardrobe.  Uhhh, hello, that clutch is calling my name!

warming up.

Well I thought I was going to spend the weekend cuddling up with G on the sofa, but apparently the weather had other ideas.  It literally went from scarf wearing weather to me busting out my sandals in a matter of 24 hours.  The rising temperatures meant more time outside which was a nice little treat.  It also meant more time to wear my tie dye maxi dress.  It's quickly become one of my faves.
