poufs.

Let me start by saying this, not one more piece of furniture can fit into our 650 square foot apartment.  But that certainly doesn't stop me from browsing home stores every chance I get.  I recently spotted that moroccan wedding style pouf at Calypso and fell in love.  Then stumbled across this new one at West Elm.  Uhhhhh please tell me how I am supposed to resist both of these?

flying florals.

I'm more then a bit obsessed with florals hanging overhead.  How amazing would it look to create something like this for a party?!?  Just adds the right amount of drama and pretty.

p.s. I started the Pressed Juicery 3-day cleanse today and am already loving it.  More details after I finish.

hey there monday.

After an amazing holiday weekend, I know I should feel refreshed and ready to start the week, but truth be told I'm not quite ready yet.  Ha, give me a few more hours pretty please.  We had a wonderful 4th, spent at a poolside party with friends then back to the city (and to a temperature I could actually breathe in) for the fireworks.  We also spent time taking my dad to one of our favorite coffee shops and wandering around some of the city's amazing neighborhoods.  Then we spent yesterday at the Alameda flea market with G's family.  Not a bad way to spend 4 days.

the 4th.

happy happy happy 4th of July weekend.  Any fun plans?  We will be staying local which I am super excited about (but not gonna lie, I will miss celebrating at Lake Tahoe this year).  It will be nice to avoid the crazy traffic and have some time to just lounge poolside with friends and my dad who will be in town.  I hope you all have a wonderful holiday.

picnic ready.

As we inch closer to the 4th of July holiday, I've been thinking that a picnic is definitely a must this weekend.  I spotted those forks and instantly fell in love (super cute, right?).  And that salad is so simple, yet looks so darn good.  Ok ok, and I know, maybe that fringe bag isn't the most practical thing to lug all of your picnic items around in, but I mean come on...I NEED it in my life.

summertime.

Well, the temps are arising and I'm ready to finally bust out some of my summer gear.  I've been partial to one-pieces this year, and I think this little beauty may need to join my growing collection.  It's definitely time to hit the beach, pool, or lake with these summer essentials.

helllloooo friday!

It's officially feeling like summer here and I'm ready to dive in head first this weekend.  On the agenda, a picnic at the park and lots of time spent reading a book I'm hooked on.  Hmmm and maybe a dip in a pool if I'm lucky and can finagle my way into one.  Happy weekend!

dipped dishes.

Oh helllloooo there gold dipped dishes.  Where have you been my whole life?  I mean, is someone kidding me?!?  These need to get into my home immediately.  And what would I put on these beauties?  Well perhaps one of my all time favorite desserts, lemon bars.  My mom honestly makes the best bars (I need to steal her recipe).  Check out this new recipe I found that adds a bit of rosemary to the crust...yum!

local necklaces.

Recently, more then a handful of friends have been raving to me about Marisa Haskell's jewelry.  She's an Oakland based jewelry designer, and I gotta say that her necklaces are right up my alley (ummm along with everything else I've seen on her website).  I have got to make my way over to her shop asap!
