rocks.
My obsession with geodes continues. Growing up my mom had a lot of jewelry made of amethyst, crystals, various natural rocks...all of which I've forever loved. These little gems all hold a special place in my heart and really remind me of my childhood. The various uses below, are all beyond gorgeous. Ummm and if someone finds a bracelet similar to the ones below, please tell me. I need one asap.

look at that back.
Love love lovin' these backless dresses. Isn't there something so simple yet seductive about an open back? I'm kind of obsessed. This is a look I will definitely be sporting more of in the coming months.

dots on my mind.
My husband took this photo of me over the weekend and it cracked me up. Yep, there I am in my new polka dot sweater about to dive into the latest J.Crew with polka dots on the cover. ha! I guess I have been a little obsessed with dots lately. I picked up a few items recently at a steal, and I think all of you should have them too! This sweater from Old Navy is under $20 (yipppeee!) and these cute little makeup bags from Forever 21 are wayyyy too much fun. I mean if you don't need one, I think they'd make adorable gifts.
friday.
It's the weekend...woo hoo! So happy cause my husband has been out of town this past week for work and I finally scooped him up from the airport last night. And for those of you that follow me on twitter, yes I did go to the correct airport. ha! A few months ago, I happily went to pick up G from the SFO airport, problem was, he had flown into the Oakland airport. Opps, don't think I'm ever going to live that one down. Oh well, I guess we all have our moments. Enjoy your weekend! xoxo!

what is really important.
I spend most of my time on this blog talking about fashion, interiors I like, little trips my husband and I take, clothing I'm coveting, a purse I may like...you know fun things that I like to day dream about. I guess I just felt like it was time to take a little time out and say that although I love to blog about clothes and shoes and chairs, they aren't the things that I'm thinking about most of the day. My family and friends are what come to mind throughout the day. I'm mostly wishing I was hanging at the park with my niece & nephew chasing them around (not wondering how I will be able to afford the latest sequin dress). I've been thinking a lot about my family lately, especially since this past weekend was oh so much fun. My family is amazing, unique, complicated, loving, and they are always there for me and my husband. I am so very grateful. G and I are certainly lucky and we know it!
gifts.
Yesterday my friend and I were chatting about the perfect gift to bring over when visiting a friend. These are some of my fave items that I believe would make the perfect little hostess gift. Ohhhhhhh and I may already own that gold feather and can attest to it's awesomeness.

rock.
Two images that caught my eye this week. I mean, Erin Wasson is of course a style favorite and this little number is no exception. Love love love that navajo sweater and the hat. I'm also on the hunt for the perfect little faux leather jacket. I own one that I really do love, but I've had it for years and am ready for a new one. Obsessed with the subtle details on the one pictured below.
happy.
My husband and I just returned from an amazing weekend at my family reunion! It's the third year we've all celebrated OsFest (a play on my mom's maiden name), and it was DOPE! We swam in my aunt's gorgeous pool, ate lots & lots of yummy food, played games, chased all of the kids, and had the most wonderful conversations. You know those moments in life where you are just "present". When you look around and can't believe how lucky you got to have such awesome people in your life. It's honestly the best feeling! I'm still on a family reuinon high.

rugs.
One element of our dream home that I truly feel in love with, were those amazing rugs. I went on a little search and found these bad boys. Moroccan inspired, colorful, bohemian...I'll take one of each please.
