dream home.

When can my husband and I move in?  Seriously!  Wow, these images are blowing my mind.  The all-white walls and floors, contrasted by the color explosions in the form of art, rugs, lighting & accessories.  I can't get enough.

gimme some DVF.

I recently hit up a DVF outlet store with my very stylish friend Demetra.  Well, since I'm trying to wear more patterns, DVF certainly has a gorgeous selection.  These are two dresses that I'm currently craving.  Saving my pennies and hoping that at least one will make it's way into my closet very soon.

gold, yes please.

Ok, so how do I get a foil machine into my home asap?  Seriously, this girl can emboss with the best of them using gold ink & embossing powder, but really it's just not the same thing as gold foiling.  It looks so amazing and I wish I could do it to every piece of stationery I work on.  Alas, I guess for the time being, it's best to leave it up to the printing experts, but I sure do wish I could DIY this at home.  Sad gold face over here.

ps, i miss you already.

We are back from our Fourth of July getaway, and I kind of have a case of the Mundays.  We had such a blast and staying at The Parker was truly ubelievable.  I've been there tons of times before (to eat brunch, dinner, and even coordinated a wedding there), but to be a guest was beyond amazing.  I swear, now I'm not going to be able to stay anywhere else (shhhh, don't tell my husband).  Here are a few pics of our little vaca.  I'm already dreaming of our return visit.

Of course I could have spent every waking moment at The Parker, but we did venture out.  We checked out the colorful Saguaro, and had to stop in at The Ace's Amigo Room.  We also ate dinner at the Viceory, which is impeccably decorated (it's also a dream of mine to stay there one day).

I kind of matched the sofa at one of the restaurants we ate at...ha!

The hubs is very excited for his meal at Cheeky's.

Me pouting because I'm not ready to leave.  Palm Springs is truly a magical little place.

sonoma getaway x2.

I spent 3 of the past 4 days in Sonoma, and I gotta say it was amazing!  I started with a girls getaway to The Fairmont, where we lounged by the pool, hit up a few wineries, and ate a delicious meal at the Girl and the Fig.  It was pretty much the perfect relaxing getaway.  I decided to create fun little gift bags to give each girl when we arrived (a la a bachelorette party, even though this wasn't one).  I mean who doesn't love a little bag filled with some girly essentials?  I used this template to personalize each bag (printed out on iron-on-paper) and adhered to canvas bags I picked up at Michael's.  Each bag contained a bottle of water, a magazine, a striped straw, candies, and nail polish. I named each polish after the girls (Jen's orange polish was named "Tan-JEN-rine Orange").  I thought I was being really clever and funny...ha!

Next up, it was a birthday bash for my dear friend Amanda.  We rented a shuttle bus and drove back up to Sonoma with 18 of our friends.  SO.MUCH.FUN!  I created a little "lunch box" for each guest, including a water bottle, snacks, a straw, a personalized plastic cup to sip on mimosas on the drive up, and a "It's Amanda's Birthday!" party pin.  We stopped at three wineries (Viansa, Sebastiani & Cornerstone) and picked up lunch at the Sonoma Cheese Factory to enjoy on the lawn of one of the wineries.  We brought along picnic blankets which created the perfect little lounge feel.  Ok, and have you been to Cornerstone Winery?  I never had, and I gotta say it's a must see.  They have this amazing garden featuring art sculptures that is truly breathtaking.  I was obsessed with these cloud-like structures made of wire mesh with glass teardrops hanging from them.  It was visually stunning!  Sonoma, I already miss you and can't wait for a return trip.

relax.

I'm signing off a day early this week. Excited to spend a few days relaxing with some friends poolside.  I'm also co-hosting a big birthday party that I've been busy crafting away for.  It's gonna be a good weekend!

beauty.

What is your beauty routine?  My daytime look is straight hair worn down with a swipe of mascara and a touch of lip gloss.  For the evening, I've been creating beachy waves and adding a bold lip.  Isn't it sooo true that you always want what you can't have?  When I was younger I didn't quite like my stick straight hair, always wanting something with a little more volume.  But now I completely love my straight hair.  It's so easy to do, and I can easily add in a little curl to achieve some body.

little quotes.

I spotted these two adorable little journals at Target today, and I instantly fell in love with the quotes printed on their covers.  Both of these ring so true to me right now.  I think they would definitely make perfect little gifts for any girl in your life.

jumpin' into monday.

Happy Monday!  I hope everyone enjoyed the weekend.  We had a great one.  The bocce ball birthday party was a blast and the bridal shower I went to could not have been more fun (always great to catch up with my college girls).  I also managed to sneak in a quick shopping trip to Zara (shhhh!).  Well I did say that I was trying to embrace more color and pattern into my wardrobe and I do believe that this jumpsuit fits the bill.  I'm already pretty obsessed with it.
